Susan Sauvé Meyer is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania.

This lecture is the opening keynote of the 4th Women in Ancient Philosophy Workshop for Female Graduate Students and Early Career Researchers, but is also open to those who do not attend the entire workshop.

Women in Ancient Philosophy is an initiative of fmale doctoral students and associated to the Research Training Group "Philosophy Science and the Sciences". The initiative organizes conferences, workshops and guest lectures aiming to foster networking and equal opportunities for young female researchers.
